Eco Monday: Atelier Belge Recycles Textiles in ‘PLOF’ Bench

Eco Monday Plof Eco-Friendly Bench by Atlier Belge

If there was ever a shining piece in the thoughtful design trend of incorporated recycled materials in the development and production of furniture, it is this entirely recycled bench designed by Belgium-based designer, Atelier Belge: PLOF. Our Eco Monday feature is a sustainable solution to all the production waste that we have yet to do anything with besides throwing it in our landfills. PLOF is an eco-friendly and durable way to reuse all this product waste. They shred all the colorful textile leftovers into smaller pieces and upholster the bench with see-through PE plastic.

The color combinations are truly unique to each bench that is made. The unique look and elegant pattern of the surface takes industrial carpet waste to a much higher level! Its durable design makes it perfect for use in both indoor and outdoor environments.
