Contemporary Police Headquarters Poznan mode:lina

mode:lina architects just recently completed a complete redesign of the police station headquarters in Poznan, Poland. They were given the task of not only making the entrance accessible for disabled users but to also set a new standard for police stations to look contemporary and up-to-date while still maintaining its historic urban structure. While the exterior plans had to be approved by the City’s Heritage Conservator, the mode:lina architects had freedom to handle the interior renovation.

From mode:lina:

Simple and clear! – that was how we planned to design the interior. We decided to use white and dark grey as a background for blue – an official Police color. Main circulation is marked in white both on the floor and the barrisol, LED enlightened ceiling. Blue splashes on reception desk and furniture leave no doubts that you are in Police Headquarters. Even though being a policeman is tough, we softened the appearance of the interior by rounding all the angles and corners.

Looking at all the sleek curves and lines that carry out throughout the interior of the police station, I’d say that mode:lina was quite successful with their goal of making the renovated police headquarters “simple and clear.” Check out the rest of their renovation below!
